The Congress successfully created a platform where policymakers,healthcare professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators could engage in meaningful dialogue and identify practical opportunities for cooperation.
More importantly, it reinforced a shared belief that the future of healthcare will be shaped not by isolated initiatives, but by partnerships built on trust, knowledge exchange, innovation, and a common commitment to improving health outcomes for society.
The relationships established, ideas generated, and partnerships initiated during IGHC 2026 provide a strong foundation for continued collaboration between India and Germany in the years ahead.
The true success of IGHC 2026 was not measured by the conversations that took place during the Congress, but by the partnerships, ideas, and collaborations that will continue long after it concluded.

Advancing Indo-German Cooperation in Healthcare
The Indo-German Healthcare Congress (IGHC) 2026 brought together healthcare leaders, policymakers, researchers, clinicians, entrepreneurs, technology experts, international organisations, and emerging leaders from India and Germany for three days of dialogue, collaboration, and exchange in Berlin.
Held from 17–19 May 2026, the Congress explored some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping the future of healthcare, with a particular focus on healthcare workforce mobility, Global Skills Partnerships, artificial intelligence and healthcare governance, innovation, longevity, preventive healthcare, and sustainable Indo-German cooperation.
The 2026 edition brought together stakeholders from institutions including the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG), Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, GIZ, Siemens Healthineers, TERN Group, Kiron Digital Learning Solutions, Apollo Hospitals, Data4Life, FIZ, Santulan Healthcare, Heidelberg University Hospital, Goethe University Hospital Frankfurt, and several universities, research institutions, startups, and healthcare organisations.

- Day 1 | Building the Community17 May 2026 | BerlinThe Congress began with intercultural exchange, cohort building, and emerging perspectives on healthcare. Delegates from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds came together to establish the foundation for the substantive discussions that followed.The opening day focused on relationship-building, intercultural understanding, leadership, and emerging healthcare perspectives, creating a connected cohort across medicine, research, technology, policy, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation.
- Day 2 | Innovation, Longevity & the Future of Healthcare18 May 2026 | Charité & Berlin Museum of Medical HistoryThe second day explored the intersection of healthcare innovation, translational medicine, entrepreneurship, biotechnology, neuroscience, preventive healthcare, and healthy aging.Sessions within the Charité and Berlin innovation ecosystem examined how research and technology can be translated into practical healthcare solutions.The evening programme focused on:“Longevity and Healthy Aging: Integrating Science, Innovation, and Holistic Approaches from India and Germany.” Experts from neuroscience, biotechnology, preventive healthcare, and integrative medicine explored the future of healthspan, brain longevity, preventive care, and Indo-German collaboration in the emerging longevity ecosystem.
- Day 3 | Healthcare Workforce Mobility, AI & Policy19 May 2026 | BerlinThe final day brought the Congress into direct engagement with policymakers and institutions shaping the future of healthcare cooperation.Hosted at the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) and supported by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, discussions focused on:
